Project context
ZillTech provides technology consulting and SaaS services to a global audience. I started on the project in July 2026 as SEO strategist for technical SEO and as project manager. The project is ongoing.
SEO challenge
The recorded starting point was no organic traffic, no ranking keywords, 500 impressions and 2 clicks. Analysis surfaced missing FAQs and category descriptions, content opportunities, image issues, bandwidth concerns and other technical barriers to search visibility.
Objectives
- Remove technical barriers to search visibility
- Identify content opportunities against competitors
- Build a prioritised SEO roadmap
Strategy
- Reverse-engineer the website and its competitors
- Combine technical SEO analysis, content-gap analysis, competitor-gap analysis and schema research in one review
- Prioritise the findings into a roadmap
Execution
- Conducted website reverse engineering and technical SEO analysis
- Ran content-gap and competitor-gap analysis and schema opportunity research
- Identified missing FAQs, category descriptions, content opportunities, image issues, bandwidth concerns and other technical barriers
- Managed project tasks as project manager
Results
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Organic traffic | 0 | 500 |
| Ranking keywords | 0 | 50 |
| Impressions | 500 | 11.2K |
| Clicks | 2 | 76 |
My contribution
What I did
- Strategy and technical SEO analysis
- Project management of tasks across the project
Shared and site-level
Results are site-level figures for the period and reflect the combined work on the project, not strategy alone. The project is ongoing, so these are interim results.
Tools used
Core tools for this kind of work in my toolkit:
Key SEO insights
- Technical, content and schema findings were combined in one prioritised list instead of separate task lists.
- Impressions grew faster than clicks (500 to 11.2K against 2 to 76): visibility is building first, and click-through is the next thing to watch.
